[ AI development. Outlook at the end of 2022: conclusions from the latest McKinsey report ]

Today, people talk about AI solutions not in terms of “then”, but “now”. This can be clearly seen in the implementation of these technologies in the largest global organizations that were examined in this respect for the current McKinsey report. Here is a summary of the results:

Two-fold increase in AI implementations

Compared to 2017, there was a two-fold increase in AI adoption in organizations: from 20 to 50 percent. 744 respondents said their organizations had adopted AI in at least one function.

New technologies and employment prospects

Much space in the report is also devoted to the issue of the employee market in the era of AI.

Organizations that decide to implement AI most often employ such specialists: software engineers (39%), data engineers (35%) and AI data scientists (33%).

The level of diversity in the teams dealing with artificial intelligence was also examined.

AI versus environmental protection

On the other hand, the pro-environmental and pro-social approach is positive in relation to the development of AI. 43 percent of respondents from organizations that have adopted AI say they use new technologies to support their sustainability efforts

And 40 percent say their organizations are working to reduce the environmental impact of AI use by minimizing the energy used to train and run AI models.

Conclusions for the future
